Wiring it all up
The mechanical build is done - now you bring it to life with wiring. You will set the voltage switch, connect the power and signal cables to their labeled ports, and fit the white PTFE tube that guides filament to the extruder.Connect the cables
Each cable is labeled and only fits its matching port one way. Pull the bed forward to reach the wiring area in the back.Power cable (bed to PSU)
Connect the red/black/yellow cable from the bottom of the power supply to the matching red/black/yellow connector under the printer bed. It clicks together one way only.
Z cable to the Z-axis motor
The short cable labeled Z plugs into the back of the Z-axis motor.
Z cable to the limit switch
The other Z-labeled cable plugs up into the bottom of the Z-axis limit switch on the front.
X, X, and E cables to the extruder
The braided cable has three white connectors. The longest (smallest connector, labeled X) goes into the front of the QR-code housing; the second X goes into the back of the housing; and E plugs into the side of the filament feeder.
Install the PTFE tube
1
Fit the pneumatic coupler
Screw the gold pneumatic fitting (from the “spare parts” bag) into the threaded hole on the side of the filament feeder, righty-tighty.
2
Insert the white tube
Push the white PTFE tube firmly into the coupler until it clicks. This tube guides filament into the extruder.
The voltage switch reads 115 (North America), all cables (power, Z motor, Z limit, two X, and E) are seated in their labeled ports, and the PTFE tube is clicked into the feeder coupler.
