# End caps

> Snap the plastic profile covers onto the top rail ends to cover sharp aluminum edges.

## Cover the sharp edges

The top rail has exposed aluminum ends that can cut you. The two plastic **profile covers** snap over them for safety. Quick and important.

## Step-by-step

  <Step title="Identify the caps">
    Each cap has a **smooth side** and a side with **small pegs**. The pegs go into the aluminum rail slots.

  <Step title="Press them on">
    Line the pegged side up with the exposed aluminum at each end of the top rail and press firmly until it seats. It takes a little force.

  Both end caps are pressed firmly onto the top rail ends, and no sharp aluminum is exposed - safe to touch.
