# Power supply install

> Connect the power cable, understand the power switch, and finish printer assembly.

## Connecting the power

This is the final assembly step and the easiest one: connecting the **power cable**. Once this is done, your Adventurer 5M is fully built.

## Step-by-step

  <Step title="Unpack the power cable">
    Take the power cable out of its bag and remove the twist tie holding it coiled.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Plug it into the printer">
    The shaped end of the cable plugs into the power socket on the **bottom back** of the printer. Push it in snugly.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Leave the switch OFF for now">
    Next to the socket is the power switch. Make sure it is in the **off** position - the side marked with a **circle (O)** means off. The line **(I)** means on. Do not power on yet.

  <Step title="Do not plug into the wall yet">
    Keep the other end unplugged from the wall for now. You will apply power in the next section once the filament is loaded.

  On the power switch, the symbols follow the international standard: **O = off**, **I = on**. Keeping it off until you are ready prevents the printer from booting mid-assembly.

## Assembly complete

Congratulations - your printer is fully assembled! Here is everything you have done today:
